The Orleans Hotel & Casino, 4500 W Tropicana, Las Vegas

Sid King and his band were often credited as being the first to create, record and play rockabilly music...the first sounds of rock and roll (1952). Sid King, one of rock and roll's true innovators, has influenced such great artists as Buddy Holly, Roy Orbison and Johnny Carroll. Sid headlined shows with Elvis Presley, Jerry Lee Lewis, Carl Perkins, Pat Boone and many more. They recorded for CBS Records and in 1956 were voted Billboard's Top Ranked Show Band. In the 50's they were billed as fresh and lively from Dallas, Texas.
