Transformation Tuesday - The 5 year edition.

I'm just now realizing how something in my life has come full circle... 

June 3rd, 2009 was the day that my sax hero passed on to the other side. Sam Butera was one crazy wailer on that sax. My favorite thing was how he could just rip that sax apart and make it sound so wild, yet you knew that he had such control over it. I aspire to be as good as him one day and hope to continue to create the kind of music that brings smiles to the people just like he and Louis Sr did.

Rain or Shine, This Train Keeps on a Rollin'! 

It's Friday night and as I sit here thinking about these first two days, I can only get more excited knowing how much better things will get. We played our first show last night in Saddle River, New Jersey. For those of you that don't know about this... Our regular bassist, Mikey Bones, is in the hospital recovering and getting back to his strong self.

Mikey, we love you and I hope this time off will allow for a true healing and recovery.

LPJ Summer 2013 Tour, Day One: Through the Storms and Flightmares. 

  Well, yesterday was quite a day for our band here. Through all the delays and cancellations the worst part was when we arrived to New York at 2am and get our bassists bass from the "oversized" luggage area and he immidiately feels that the case is wobbly. He opens it up in front of one of the agents and he sees that the neck is snapped broken. Mind you, we have a sound check to get to in about 12 hours from this moment...
