Well, yesterday was quite a day for our band here. Through all the delays and cancellations the worst part was when we arrived to New York at 2am and get our bassists bass from the "oversized" luggage area and he immidiately feels that the case is wobbly. He opens it up in front of one of the agents and he sees that the neck is snapped broken. Mind you, we have a sound check to get to in about 12 hours from this moment... Thankfully, the agent was there to witness it and we've begun the process of getting things worked out... I hope. Stay tuned for more news on this. Southwest Airlines is not always so consistent. There are people who love their job so much and make things look great, such as Hector and David here in Newark. BUT then there are other folks who really make the company look bad. I'm actually hoping to get in touch with my Musician's Union to talk about this and see if there's something we can do to better the relationship between airlines and travelling musicians. Things like this are heartbreaking.

Anyhow, when we all woke up this morning we realized that we are here. We've made it alive and still have ourselves. Bumps in the road are going to happen, sometimes the situation may seem like the worst thing that could happen... But if we're still alive, there is still an opportunity to make any situation better.
